Very kind, welcoming people, and a beautiful place to stay

Pros: Amazing views of the surrounding mountains and a lovely cozy atmosphere in the old converted castle. The grounds around it are also amazing, the family have done such a nice job with it all. Christine and Daniel went above and beyond to help when I fell ill during our stay, supporting my girlfriend with difficulties in extending our stay and with me being unable to move all of our things. Thank you so much to all of you for being so kind!

A memorable stay in a beautiful town, not cheap but worth the extra cost.

Pros: This is a memorable place to stay. We received a lovely welcome from the owner of the property - it’s very much a family run home and the personal touch was great. The Schloss is set in the most beautiful gardens, lush with flowers and vegetation. It’s on the edge of the town, so airy and spacious. We had the entire attic at the top of the house, an enormous room with views on all sides. It would have been ideal for a family, but a huge space for just a couple! We had dinner at the Schloss in the evening; a limited menu always bodes well and the cooking was exceptional. We chose the beef medallions and the cooking was fantastic, really tender and succulent. My husband chose the family’s wine, a Merlot cabinet, which was delicious. He was sorry that it wasn’t available to buy at the local enoteca in Meran. Breakfast was excellent too - a lovely choice of cereals, cold meats, cheese and first-rate coffee, all very fresh

Cons: Please note: there is no lift and 55 stairs to climb to the top of the house, so it would not be appropriate for those with limited mobility. The kind owner who greeted us helped with our case, but it’s best just to have an overnight bag rather than a large suitcase.

Very relaxing

Pros: Beautiful gardens, very relaxing, 20 minute walk to city centre and close to bus stop.

Cons: So many stairs, perhaps this should have been mentioned on the description on the website.

Gem of a B&B hotel with tremendous character

Pros: A wonderful gem of a family run B&B hotel in an old schloss with tremendous character. Large bedroom and very large en-suite bathroom at top of the house with a view of the extensive gardens and hills beyond. Although we had not booked and arrived late they fitted us into the restaurant sitting out on the terrace where we had an excellent meal. And in the morning we enjoyed walking around the grounds.

Cons: Only stayed a night - would have loved to have stayed longer

great place to stay in meran

Pros: a beautiful house surrounded by a beautiful huge garden. close to the botanical gardens. very spacious room overlooking the garden. comfy mattress. bathroom very spacious with a powerful shower. we had a very warm welcome. no problem to park your car in the indicated area. my bicycle could be stored in the locked garage. the breakfast had so many wonderful options beside a choice of fresh and tasteful food plus the wonderful coffee and a superfriendly eoman hosting tge breakfast. there even is a pool in the garden area. bus station with a direct line to the city center in walking distance. we can definitely recommend to plan your stay there - great place.

Great location, friendly staff, lovely place

Pros: Hotel: Great location as we were attending a concert, only a 10 min walk from the famous Gardens which were wonderful! Room: nice and spacious, we asked for two singles and there were two singles, the bathroom was very big, plenty of room. Only a bit hot, but we were on the last floor under roof so probably that was why. Breakfast: The room was nice, there was a chance to have breakfast on the terrace if we wanted too. Great selection on the breakfast buffet, lots of fruit and different types of bread, cereal, jams, honey and we were offered cooked eggs. Friendly staff. I'd rdefinetly recommend this hotel

Cons: Took us a moment to find the car park, being located in a tight one way room, could have been nice to know that we had to look out for it before the actual entrance of the hotel, but wasn't an issue, we managed:)

Pros: Fantastic location in quiet part of Merano, easy walking distance to the center or the botanical gardens.
