Pros: Incredible service. Very good breakfast with the custom fried eggs or omelettes. Good and clean room. Cleaners service were cleaning my room every day very fast during my breakfast. I'll be glad to come back here again.

Cons: No minuses

Pros: Extremely friendly staff, comfortable and big bed, very clean. Vegan options for breakfast. Right next to the bus station so connection to the city is easy. Free bus passes were included.

Cons: Our room was on the road side and surprisingly the road was quite busy at night so if someone is sensitive to noises they should make sure to get a different room, not facing the street. We visited in late summer so it was perfect but in the room there is no AC.

A no-nonsense, clean room with great breakfast

Pros: The room was spotlessly clean, with fresh towels and bedsheets, comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfast starts at 7:30am and is plentiful and delicious - perfect before hiking in the area. And all of that for a reasonable price considering the popularity of the region.

Cons: It's true that our room was located on a very busy road - even early morning, cars were passing by constantly. For the weather we got, it wasn't a problem, because we didn't have to open the windows. But I can see how it can be quite loud and difficult to sleep with that noise when it's too hot in the summer. If this is not a dealbreaker for you, I'd suggest bringing earplugs, because everything else was great.

Great stay, close to many attractions and hikes

Pros: The location was great, in quiet, peaceful little town, the breakfast was amazing it had a lot of choice. One day as we needed to leave earlier they have prepared us packed breakfast upon earlier request. The room was nice and clean with a great view, enough for 2 people. Bathroom was clean and clean towels were provided. Staff was really nice. The bar downstairs was cheap. Lago Di braies and lago Di Dobbiaco around 30 minutes drive, and cortina d’Ampezzo around 1 hour drive from the hotel, which was ideal for us.

Sweet stay, local atmosphere, kind staff, amazing breakfast

Pros: If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Dolomites to feel real South Tyrolian atmosphere and culture, this family-run hotel is the place. Everyone we encountered from the staff, from receptionists to cleaning staff were friendly, helpful, kind. The service and cleanliness is top notch. The breakfast was amazing and a highlight for sure. We really enjoyed our stay. Gais is a really sweet village, and well connected with pathways and bike lanes with surrounding villages in the valley. Great location for trips in the Dolomites (winter and summer).

Cons: It would’ve been nice to have a small fridge in the room just to keep a couple of bottles of water cool.

A peaceful, welcoming hotel with a great breakfast and a calm vibe – we’d definitely return!

Pros: We had a lovely stay at Active Hotel Sonne – the atmosphere is cosy and calm, perfect for a relaxing getaway in the mountains. The room was comfortable and clean, with beautiful views of the surrounding nature. Breakfast was definitely a highlight . The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is ideal for exploring the Dolomites, whether you’re hiking or just looking to unwind.

Pros: The staff was really nice and the parking in front of the hotel was great and very convenient. Breakfast was also good.

Perfect place to stay in South Tirol

Pros: Great place, very comfortable rooms which are looking really nice. Nice bar downstairs, there’s also option to order bread from local bakery. Situated in a very calm neighbourhood, 8mins by car to bigger city. Still in the village you can eat something local and enjoy the views. People working there were very helpfull and I will definitely come back here.

Cons: Everything was perfect, there’s no lift in the building if you need it - for is it was not s problem.

Pros: Tasty breakfast, fresh scrambled eggs made in a few minutes after you arrive. Good coffee machine, super croissants, and plenty of other options. Newly renovated space is used only for breakfast. Shame, could be used as a really nice day/night lounge bar. Rest of the hotel is a lot older, but in great condition, like mid 1990 high quality wooden Austrian interior. Owners really take care of the place. Probably renovation will go in multiple stages.
