Pros: We had a such a lovely staff at Pension Sonia. Heinz and his wife were very lovely and made sure we had a super comfortable stay. Definitely recommend for a stay that feels like home away from home. Thank you so much!

Pros: Everything was perfect 👌 We had a late check in the owner had the key and note by the door ready for us , We came in and he was still there he was veey welcoming The room was very nice surrounded by beautiful views ,lovely and warm huge bathroom very modern Bed very comfy lovely quiet The minute you walk in to this property you feel like home all the decor around the entrance the room Breakfast was amazing, lovely and warm atmosphere, there's a balcony were u can have tea and cofee and admire the views of the dolomites Grazie for a wonderful experience we be back next year 🙏

Cons: Too short of a trip we wanted to stay more

Pros: The hotel is located about 2 kilometers from the main photo spot, which can be reached on foot. There’s no elevator in the building. The hotel provides parking, and the owner is attentive and caring toward guests, giving clear explanations and assistance. The room is a bit old but still clean and comfortable. Breakfast was quite good, with a wide variety of food choices and seasonings that suit Asian tastes.

Little gem in Sta Maddelena

Pros: Great location. Amazing breakfast! Selection and variety of cold cuts and cheeses were fantastic. Best in our trip! Nice cosy room with comfy beds. Easy parking. Nice and friendly owners.

Cons: Curtains in the triple room are not black out. To consider in the summer months when the sun rises early.

Great stay with superb host

Pros: Super friendly and easy-going host made us feel so welcome. Ample on-site parking. Great breakfast spread. Location is convenient for visiting Church of St John and hiking the Adolf Munkel Weg

Pros: Our stay at Pension Sonia was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was good and gave us a great start to the day. Both the churches are within walking distance, and the location is excellent for exploring. From the hotel, you can either walk directly to Giesler Alm or take a bus from the nearby bus stop, which is very convenient. The overall location of this hotel is superb for sightseeing and hiking. We also enjoyed the dinner at the hotel, freshly prepared by the owners, which made the experience feel warm and homely. In addition, there’s a restaurant called Fines nearby that also serves delicious food. Overall, a great stay with good food and an unbeatable location.

Pros: Nice personell, good location and very good breakfast

Pros: Anna and Heinz go above and beyond to make Pension Sonia a very special place to stay. Very homey feel and close to fantastic hikes such as the Adolf Munkel Trail and Santa Magdalena panoramic trail. We will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.

A comfortable, clean and spacious home away from home

Pros: Pension Sonia was the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Santa Maddalena! The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. We only stayed two nights and the hosts allowed us to leave our bags in a room after check out so we could explore the area longer. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Having the additional balcony to relax made us feel very much at home. Very grateful for this find!
