Gasthof Zur Sonne

Immersed in the Val d'Ega valley, the family-run Gasthof Zur Sonne offers a restaurant, bar and free saunas. All mountain-style rooms come with free WiFi, most have a balcony. The Zur Sonne has excellent bus links to Bolzano, Obereggen and Carezza. It is a 15-minute drive from the Obereggen ski slopes and a private shuttle service is available during winter. Pros: The accommodation was overall good. We liked the breakfast very much and the room was clean and comfortable. We would have preferred a normal double bed instead of two single beds united. And a cover to cover both of us instead of two single ones.

Great staff. Good motorcycle parking 👌

Pros: The staff are very helpful and cheerful. Parking for motorcycles, whilst not under cover, is good and safe (plenty of Bikers there). Breakfast good. On site restaurant for evening.

Pros: Amazing location and room with a mountain view. You’re close to Bolzano and its also easy to travel to other locations for hikes in the dolomites. They have good restaurant as well and very friendly staff. Highly recommend going here!

Pros: Room is big, clean, wonderful view on the moutin, you can hear river. Breakfast and dinner were really delicious you can chose from menu, or pizza. It is a good location for exploring around.

Good value hotel with modern rooms and decent breakfast.

Pros: Clean, comfortable and modern rooms. Nice views onto the beautiful hills behind. Decent breakfast. An array of quirky pets on display in the reception area. Made a nice stop on our road trip int he Dolomites.

Cons: Water was not working when we arrived - had to be enabled at reception. Booking.com account of the hotel has been hacked multiple times with lots of spam as a result...
