Pros: Evertyhing about this hotel is just perfect - quite location on top of the mountain, food, surrounding nature. The hotel itself is a heaven for relaxation.

Pros: Location. Personal mountain lair. The Germanic mountain skiing lodge you’ve searched for.

Cons: I’m not picking. The quilt on the bed was a little too heavy for those warmer nights. Too hot to sleep on occasion

Pros: Amazing service, beautiful rooms and views and food was excellent. I can’t believe it’s a 3 star to be honest as it felt 5 star to me, really excellent place to stay to see the Italian alps.

Pros: Gasthof Kohlern is a small oasis. Me and my friend changed our travel plans and skipped visiting Venice in exchange of having time to stay longer here than we first had planned. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the service is excellent. You really feel seen and that they want to give you the best experience. They upgraded our room for free, and adjusted breakfast and dinner to offer really good gluten and milk free alternatives. Everything with a smile. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The place is located in a beautiful scenery with a stunning view of the mountains and Bolzano. You can se that they really have put their heart into every detail of the interior and decoration. We really enjoyed our room and the many different outdoor areas: terasses, balconies and the pool and SPA area. The place has soul and it was a very genuine and personal experience staying here. Definitely a place we would like to revisit!

Amazing picturesque oasis in the mountains

Pros: It is one of the best hotels I have ever experienced! It's a peaceful oasis with incredible views. The hotel is beautiful with exceptional design, and top quality execution. The staff are extremely talented, attentive and accommodating. They're very personable and enjoyable to stay with. Special shout out to Aldo who spent time with us at dinner and then at breakfast, giving us fantastic service. I am shocked the hotel is only 3 stars because what we experienced was nothing lower than 4, perhaps even 5! I can't wait to come back!

Cons: There were no coffee making facilities in the room and it's the first thing I need when waking up! However, Aldo kindly made me the best fresh Americanos which I was able to bring up to my room :)

Truly memorable experience in the mountains

Pros: Lovely couple running the business who were personable and friendly. The downstairs spa/pool/sauna were of exceptional quality for a relatively small property. Best of all was the restaurant which was one of the best meals I have ever had. Excellent advice and conversation from the owner and truly exceptional cooking. Breakfast was also exceptional. Very stylish all round.

Pros: Wonderful and peaceful hotel in the middle of the mountains, amazing view, great food and most welcoming and helpful staff. We would LOVE to come back

Pros: Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the views are out of this world and the food to die for. If I was ever anywhere near here again I would not hesitate to stay.

View, mountains, terrace, spa lovely

Pros: Lovely Spa Hotel High up in The Mountain with excellent views, the pool and sauna were a nice touch. The restaurant has a lovely, large terrace overlooking The Alps. The owner and his wife are lovely people and I would 100% come back with my wife. This time I came as a motorcycle tour
