Excellent stay at Garni al Barance

Pros: From the moment we arrived, the owner Cristina was so welcoming and helpful. Her husband Moreno was also very friendly every morning at breakfast. Breakfast was delicious and the perfect start before a day of hiking. The property is in the small town of Santa Fosca which was a great base for us to drive to the starting point of lots of hikes. There are some restaurants within walking distance and plenty of parking at/near the property. We would highly recommend Garni al Barance to anyone and hope to return ourselves some day!

Pros: The host was very friendly. The place was clean and cozy. A great view from the terrace. There's place to park your car. Last but certainly not least the breakfast was amazing! Nothing to complain about overall.

Cons: Miss that breakfast ever since. :(

Pros: Breakfast is a little difficult if you're vegan but the coffee and fruit are great. The location is very scenic and peaceful.

Pros: Quite small town,away from the two main towns further north and much cheaper. The proprietor were lovely. Room was very small but then that's what you pay for.Breakfast was continental yet adequate. It was a nice home base for visiting all that there is to see in the Dolomites.

Cons: Room was small on the second floor,while our bathroom was on the ground floor.

Pros: We didn't speak Italian (sorry for that), but Moreno was really nice and welcoming! His cappuccino and breakfast were really good. The room we booked had an outdoor bathroom, but it was only for the two of us, and every detail was really considerate. It was nice interacting with other guests, too. Thank you, Moreno and Garni al Barance!
