I highly recommend it
Pros: The accommodation is much nicer than in the pictures. I recommend taking new pictures! The city center is easily accessible on foot. It would not be possible to get in by car and there are few accommodations with parking spaces in the city. The accommodation was very nice and peaceful. The staff is extra nice. For breakfast, you could pre-select the croissant that was waiting on our table. I highly recommend it!

Great place to stay in Merano
Pros: I really liked our stay at The Philippinum - my single room was bright and spacious, and very warm. I really appreciate that the single room had this kind of quality. My room had a sunny balcony with great views on the valley. The walk into town takes about 15-20 min and is very pleasant. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Given the good value for money also, this place deserves a 10 and I hope to be back one day.

Comfortable, friendly and quiet place to stay
Pros: A lovely quiet location 15mins walk from the town centre. We arrived in the rain on our motorbikes and were immediately shown where to park them in the dry garage. Check in was very efficient and thorough and we were shown to our room and all things were explained by the very helpful receptionist. We had an amazing pizza and very welcome beer in the bar. The hotel is well kept, very clean and everyone we met helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also delicious. Thank you all! 😊

Pros: A very pleasant hotel in a quiet part of the city, but the city center is not far away. Breakfast is sufficient with the option of individual egg preparation. Clean pool with loungers, umbrellas, and towels. The staff is very nice and helpful. We would be happy to come again.

Relaxing but it could be improved
Pros: Good position. Clean. Comfortable. Nice and big garage.
Cons: It was a bit hot in the night, even with the window open it needs some hours to cool down. I don't understand why you can't enter after 10pm. I would have liked more lactose free options for the breakfast pastries.

Nice and profitable stay despite the flaws
Pros: The staff members are in general very kind. The lady with whom I did the check in is likewise helpful, friendly and graceful. The gentleman who dealt with my check out is also kind and helpful. Just two of the waitresses working at the restaurant at dinner time were somewhat aloof; the youngest one was even unpleasant. At any rate, the employee who is endowed with the best qualities in that hotel is Imola, the lady working at the restaurant at breakfast time. Apart from her kindness and good manners, she is the epitome of the elegance. The bed was comfortable. It'd have been better if the mattress had been a bit tougher. The breakfast was good and varied. I missed anyway the dried dates and plumps.
Cons: The building isn't soundproof. When the other customers occupying the neighbouring bedrooms arrive one hears some shouts and door slams. Thanks God it happens just upon the arrival in the evening of the said people. Then, at night the ambiance is peaceful. There is no air conditioning in the bedroom. In these circumstances I wasn't even offered an electric fan. Sometimes I perspired as if I were in a sauna. It's actually not a big problem for me, that's why I didn't complain, but it may be so for some other people. The room maids not always perform their job properly.
