Hotel Garni Civetta

A perfect homely base for exploring the Dolomites!

Pros: We liked everything! Hotel Garni Civetta felt like a home from home for us. Gianni and Cecilia made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and were on hand for giving recommendations about where to hike and tips for local restaurants. The hotel is clean, comfortable and in a lovely peaceful location. We were especially impressed with breakfast each morning. Highly recommended. We would stay again without hesitation!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The place was very beautiful and impeccably clean. The breakfast was rich and varied, offering a great start of the day.

Cons: Unfortunately, it was very cold in the accommodation, and I ended up catching a cold on the first day. They provided us with a space heater, but it isn't safe to sleep with it on, so we had to sleep and wake up in the cold.

Сozy hotel!

Pros: Very cozy small hotel! We met the owners, they are very nice people. They told us about the region and the culture. Loved the breakfast, the rooms and the hotel are clean and cozy.

Pros: The hotel is situated in the middle of the heart of the Dolomites. Is well-cleaned, and the owners are very friendly, and always happy to help, Giani is a mountain guide, so he gave us lots of great tips regarding the hike and treks. The lady of the house prepared a delicious breakfast accompanied by great coffee. It is a lovely family business indeed. We were very happy with the stay in Civetta.

Cons: Well bit sour ending while paying the bill on the end. We purchased the accommodation through the Booking. Com. Where it was clearly stated, that all tax and VAT are included. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We have been charged €14.00 extra as a tourist charge. Booking doesn't say anything about it. When we went on the owner's pages we found out it says 0.50cent per day per person. We stayed in Civetta for 7 days, which means to my calculation it is 7 euros for both not 14. (we send personal emails to them😊). Also do ask in advantage when you order the drink how much is it or any extras, like scrumble eggs for breakfast. We didn't, and then we were unpleasantly surprised by our fault. However, it would be nice if they would have a little menu with the prices and what is included and what needs to be paid extra.

Pros: Place is great. Hosts are fantastic. The area is incredible. Highly recommended!!

Cons: The weather could be better ;-)

Pros: curățenie, mic dejun bun, paturi foarte confortabile, oameni minunați, calzi și primitori

Posto bellissimo, esperienza positiva

Pros: Colazione buona, non particolarmente abbondante ma neanche scarsa. Disponibilità ad aggiungere preparazioni sul momento (es. uova strapazzate). Posizione molto buona con vista fantastica. Camera pulita. Disponibile parcheggio e accesso autonomo alla struttura se si rientra tardi alla sera.

Cons: Mancanza di un bollitore in camera (d'inverno e in montagna farebbe davvero comodo). Mancanza di un cuscino supplementare nell'armadio: purtroppo era troppo tardi per chiedere in reception.

Mooie locatie en prima uitvalsbasis om de Dolomieten te ontdekken

Pros: Moderne kamer met mooi uitzicht vanuit bed op de bergen. Door de wat hoge ramen moet je wel staan om naar buiten te kunnen kijken. Voor de erg vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren was het geen probleem ons ergens met de auto op te pikken na een lange wandeltocht.

Tolle Unterkunft

Pros: Wir hatten ein sehr schönes und ruhiges Zimmer mit großem Bett und Balkon. Die Gastgeber waren besonders freundlich und verbindlich. Und das Frühstück war sehr gut, alles vorhanden, frisches Obst bzw. Obstsalat, süßes und salziges! Wir bekamen außerdem auch tolle Wanderempfehlungen.

Cons: Es ist wohl leider in Italien nicht so üblich, Vollkornbrot oder -Brötchen zu essen. Das hat uns doch etwas gefehlt.

A peaceful and unforgettable place in the Dolomites.

Pros: We had an absolutely perfect experience during our 5-day stay at Garni Civetta in the stunning Italian Dolomites. From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel owners, a truly kind couple who made us feel right at home. The facilities are excellent, with a cozy, well-kept, and nicely decorated atmosphere. The cleanliness was impeccable. Our room was super comfortable, with a great bed, lots of space, and amazing mountain views. The peaceful surroundings made for quiet, restful nights. The breakfast deserves a special mention: simply fantastic! It was made with fresh and local products, the perfect way to start each day. The location is perfect for exploring the beauty of the Dolomites. On top of that, the value for money is amazing – we got much more than we expected in terms of comfort and hospitality. We loved every moment of our stay, and the only downside was having to leave. We left already missing it, but we're sure we’ll be back.
