Hotel Walther v.d. Vogelweide Superior

A mediaeval building overlooking River Isarco in the centre of Chiusa, family-run Walther von der Vogelweide offers alpine-style rooms and a restaurant with vaulted ceilings. A garden, disco and large terrace are available. With traditional design and light parquet floors, rooms include an LCD satellite TV and a sofa. The private bathroom features modern terracotta tiles, oval sinks and is complete with toiletries and hairdryer. Homemade apple strudel and jams, together with cold cuts and cheese feature for breakfast, which is a buffet served daily. Amazing hotel - great location - comfortable rooms - delicious breakfast - very friendly staff

Pros: Lovely hotel - amazing typically Tyrolean breakfast - great room with separate living area - comfortable beds and pillows - exceptionally friendly and helpful staff - great location from which to explore this medieval town and the monsatery perched high above. Would love to stay again.

Comfortable stay

Pros: Super comfortable place in Chiusa old town. The hotel has nice restaurant with great food right next to it, and the breakfast was super good. Reasonably priced parking space right next to it. All good, will come back.

Cons: Staffs english skills could be better, although the counter I had for my one night stay was okay.

Pros: Beautiful historic building in a lovely town. Great breakfast and lovely room.

Cons: Very unwelcoming gentleman on the desk when we arrived. We popped to enquire where the private parking mentioned in the listing was, and was told there was none and demanded passports there and then before doing anything further. Public car park 2mins away but payment of €1 per hour between 8 and 7pm. Younger gentleman on desk when we checked out was lovely.

Pros: The stay was amazing! Breakfast had so much variety. The rooms were immaculately clean and spacious. The beds and bedding were so comfortable, I want these at home for ourselves. The restaurant was also very delicious. We had the veal steak there and it blew our minds. The parking was 5 euros for a whole day. You can go to the underground parking or the parking lot next to the old centre.

Cons: The only thing that would make this hotel even better would be air conditioning.

Pros: Best breakfast we've ever had! Accomodating staff. Good restaurant to have dinner. Nice town. Spacious, clean rooms. Comfortable beds.

Pros: super nice building(s) dating back to the 14 hundreds; renovated with love and great preservation of the old structures very nice restaurant
