Great value for money, very good location, basic accomodation, perfect for a dad with 2 sons!
Pros: This is a special place. I went skiing for a midweek with my 2 sons aged 18 and 20. It is a basic lodgement - nothing fancy, but good enough. The location is superb: you just need to cross the road, ski for 100 meters between trees and there you are, a 1 minute ski away from the Marmelade skilift that takes you to 3.300 meters within 15 minutes (the accomodation also offers a free shuttle service to that skilift) with no crowds not even a waiting line, irrespective of the time in the morning - we stayed between Christmas en New Year! If this is what you are looking for, the value for money is unbelievalbly good.
Cons: Given the price, there is nothing I really did not like. Of course, if compared to a 5 star hotel, this is somewhat more basic (understatement haha), but all is there, skiing room, sauna, free shuttle. Grocery store nearby, for dinner you either need to cook yourself, or eat 4 km away at the nearest pizzeria (we loved the place - a really good dinner with pizza salad and 1 liter of wine costed €70 just for the 3 of us), more restaurants are to be found some 8 km away.

We visited Malga Ciapela in a company of four persons (2 adults and 2 youngsters) for a short-term (3 overnights) skiing
Pros: Very comfy apartment with all the necessary equipment. Location for skiers is excellent, right next to Marmolada cable car (reachable by foot in ski boots or with skis). Heating also very good. Comfortable beds and cleanlines on a high level. Another positive fact I have to mention is, that the TV is not in the apartment just to be mentioned on booking.com, but it is a real functional LCD TV with appropriately big TV screen. The contact person and keeper at apartment building was very friendly and helpful. He also provided us with van taxi transport service (free of charge) to the chairlift towards Passo Padon and Arabba in the upper part of the valley.
Cons: I have no negative comments to point out.

Super value for money - recommend!
Pros: Super value, cheap stay. Its perfect for skiing, only 15 min drive to Alleghe. The owner was super friendly and willing to help us. There is a free-to-use sauna and big space and the basement to hang out. Apartments are big, warm and clean.
Cons: The only downside are pillows and mattresses (some beds have too firm and some too soft mattresses).

Perfect stay. Highly recommended
Pros: Above expectation for the price that we paid. 4 bed complete with cooking set. Everything is working very well, I think this unit just got refurbished.
Cons: We visited on the shoulder season, at the end of September. It can get quite secluded to drive here from Ortisei or Cortina area.

Comfortable stay in a lovely town.
Pros: Large room, very clean and neat and a good location.
Cons: A bit confusing on checking in as this is at a different location. The address does not take you to the exact spot - would be useful to get a link to the location of check-in.

Recommended
Pros: The location of the accommodation is perfect for all the famous hiking trails in the Dolomites. The equipment is exactly as shown in the pictures, and the bed is very comfortable. The dishwasher and washing machine were a huge help after long hikes. If you don’t insist on a four-star hotel while hiking in the Dolomites, and you don’t mind that one of the beds is in the kitchen, then in terms of value for money this is the best accommodation in the area.
Cons: Oven doesn't worked, the only indication for that is a paper in italian language placed inside the oven. So we noticed only that time when we bought everything for baking. Probably that old building is exhausted from that many electric device :D

Too far from everything
Pros: The location was very quiet. Close to Marmolada cable car station. We requested for iron and the owner provided it.
Cons: This apartment is suitable for those wanting to go to Marmolada and for those who appreciate very quiet environment. Otherwise, it is very far from everything. We stayed there because we planned to go up the Marmolada, but unfortunately the weather was too cloudy so we postpone the trip but went to Passo Giau instead, and came back the next day.

Pros: A quiet place, close to the Marmolada lift, and they allowed us to leave our car after checking out. The oven was excellent, and we baked some fish we bought at the supermarket on our way there.
