Hotel Fiames

Pros: Price/performance very good. Location very good if you are driving and not looking for more crowded Cortina which is still very near. Approach trail to one really cool via ferrata starts at hotel doorstep. Many options for hiking starting right from your door. Quite nice breakfast. Also possible to have dinner or spend rest or rainy day at bar.

Cons: We had a lot of stuff for outdoor adventures therefore room was bit too small. Small con was shared bathroom, but almost never had to wait for it during 4 nights spent in hotel.

A traditional older style hotel.

Pros: The parking was easy. The reception staff were very helpful with quite good English. The hotel was clean. The room was quite large. The shower worked well. An adequate breakfast was served but it was unvarying. The restaurant was open in the evenings and served nice plain food. The bar was very busy. Location for Cortina and other sites was good but it is probably best to have a car, although buses did run past the hotel.

Cons: The beds in our room were harder than we liked. The WiFi dropped out from time to time.

Pros: Easy access to the Nordic ski slope. 5 min drive to the cable car for the skiing slope. Enough parking places

Cons: Shared bathroom.but this we knew from the beginning. But at that price per night I think they should offer a private bathroom.

Lovely family business at the heart of the Dolomites

Pros: The staff is always available and helpful, as I was leaving very early they gave me the breakfast to take away the evening before Apart from that, the rooms and the common areas are super clean. A really lovely stay.

Good value stay in lovely location albeit roadside

Pros: Great place in a good location close to a lovely river and with good transport links.

Pros: Good breakfast. Excellent via ferrata close to hotel.

Pros: Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast that was included was good, the croissants were delicious. Really enjoyed our stay.

Room with shared bathroom close to Cortina d'Ampezzo

Pros: Conveniently located on the main road North of Cortina d'Ampezzo (we travelled by car), it's 10 min away from the free car parking in the city. Very friendly staff, who prepared a packed breakfast for us as we had to leave very early the next day. The room is good, beds are OK, some noise comes in from the door if neighbors are noisy. The shared bathroom was clean and was always available.

Cons: The price was a bit steep for a room with shared bathroom, but this is Cortina neighborhood, so understood.

Pros: The rooms were big enough, clean. The environment was extraordinary with the amazing mountains. The staff was really kind, we got dinner despite we arrived after the closing time.

Cons: Maybe a bit expensive but this area is not known for being cheap...

Pros: Very kind staff, cozy clean hotel in mountains. Breakfast with gluten-free option. Good parking on side (or in front) of the hotel. Looking forward to next visit!
