Emma Historic Hotel

Enjoyable stay & hope to return soon

Pros: Beautiful old property in a really nice little town. The owner gave us great advice on hikes to do, easily reached on the free buses so we could leave the car & not worry about parking. Breakfasts were plentiful and we had a meal in the restaurant on one of our 2 nights there. We used the bar and sat enjoying drinks along the front of the hotel & there was also a good bar with music just up the road too.

An historical hotel with a great service and outstanding food

Pros: A nice hotel, very historical ambience, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was great and the restaurant in the evening was outstanding!

Cons: The room was a bit crowded.

Excellent value for money

Pros: Great value for the money. Excellent breakfast offering best of Italian sweets (great tarta Della nonna) and salty German breakfast. Sauna with infrared was nice. Also the restaurant offers nice meals for small prices. Room and bed are spacious and confortable

Pros: The place was very clean, the offer a la carte was wide and food very tasty. The spa is very good as well for the price. Location is good to reach Braies lake with public transport.

Cons: Breakfast was somehow small compared with other hotel in the area I have been, but still good. No other main issues found in our stayover.

Pros: The hotel is located in the middle of Villabassa. The owners were very nice and let us park the car for a week while we cycled the Drau radweg. The breakfast was excellent. We had a nice balcony to sit outside.

Cons: The room was very small and rather expensive.

Great stay for Lago di braie

Pros: This a great location for public transport to Lago de Braies which is why we initially booked. The hotel has been renovated well and offers all the amenities you would want. The rooms are clean, comfortable with excellent shower facilities. It was hot while we were there and the room was fine with the window open. Good off street parking for the motorbike. The continental European breakfast offered a variety to suit most needs including dietary needs. There is restaurant in the evening most nights.

Cons: It would have been useful to have been informed before arrival that the hotel is closed” on Thursday’s with minimal staff and no restaurant . Reading a sign on the reception desk was a bit misleading when staff were available for check-in.

Pros: A lovely historical hotel in the centre of town. We were upgraded to a suite which was very comfortable and the balcony had a great view of the mountains. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel as well, which was relaxing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a fantastic bicycle storage with various tools and plenty of charging points for e-bikes too.

Pros: We stayed at three different places during our hiking trip, and this one was the best. Spacious room that is nicely decorated, great breakfast with high quality food with lots of options. Highly recommended.

Pros: A comfortable family-run hotel with nice rooms and a good restaurant. We particularly liked the bicycle storage room which was spacious and well-equipped for dealing with wet riders and bikes. We would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Sitting in a quiet and beautiful small town. Convenient location for reaching Tre Cime and Lake Braies. Hotel is nice and clean.
