Lovely simple stay in a mountain lodge

Pros: Cozy mountain house with amazing views on the valley, friendly owner, huge green garden, trampoline, ping pong and play area, super rich breakfast and lovely manager who is so caring

Cons: The rooms are super clean but outdated and small, I couldn’t hardly open my cabin size suitcase. Decent and tidy but really outdated.

Pros: Very kind staff, good food, we receive also ticket for gondola at Plose for free

Pros: spectacular views from hotel. the host was very friendly and served a good breakfast.

Cons: The road to the hotel was straight up a mountain road out of Bressanone. It became very narrow near the hotel and tricky to negotiate when cars came from the opposite direction.

Would recommend

Pros: Great dinner, was huge and nourishing. Comfortable warm room with radiators, cosy atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room came with a card that gives free use of public transport and the local cablecar up Mount Plose.

Cons: Dinner menu was a bit confusing and didn't show prices. This was a minor thing though.

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable with a spectacular view. Good breakfast and we especially enjoyed the dinner in the hotel restaurant -it was super delicious. Parking is free and there is enough space for it

Pros: Extremely quiet place above Brixen, clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful people, good breakfast.

Peaceful, tranquil and friendly.

Pros: We were on our way from Oslo to Italy, and were looking for a place to stay for the night, preferably close to the highway. It was late mid June, and most hotels turned out to be full or very expensive. Mair am Bach suddenly turned up, and as we both love the mountains we decided to try this place out although it was somewhat of a detour. We did not regret it! Not only was it affordably priced, but it was a beautiful, tranquil place that really helped us charge our batteries for the onwards journey. Spacious, comfortable room, extremely and genuinely friendly, attentive and helpful staff, beautiful grounds, a scrumptious breakfast and spectacular views made this a real unexpected gem along our way. We only wish we had time to stay longer and could've explored the gorgeous surroundings more.

A real gem, like coming home

Pros: This place was an absolute Gem! From the moment we entered it was like being welcomed home. The hotel is like the most perfect chocolate box picture. The beer was cold and local served in traditional mugs/steins. we were then sat down to a table laden with fresh breads and served a scrumptious four course meal for only €26. Our son is a bit of a fuss pot and doesn’t eat fish, No Problem! He was served with a huge plate of turkey schnitzel and fries. The host Fabian and his gorgeous mum weee genial throughout our stay and all the other staff were warm and welcoming too.

Cons: That I couldn’t stay and enjoy the free cable car and water park tickets we were offered. The grounds are made to explore and enjoy for all ages and I was gutted that we had to push on to catch our pre booked ferry. I don’t like heights and thought staying up a mountain would be a challenge, it wasn’t and I’m so glad I did!
