Hotel Aurora is a well-situated, bright, and comfortable hotel for visiting Merano - recommended!

Pros: Hotel Aurora is in a fantastic location for visiting Merano. Right in the city centre on the river. The off-site car parking is relatively convenient and easy to access. All of the hotel's facilites are good. Our room was large, comfortable, and well-lit, with a balcony and excellent views of the river and nearby mountains. The staff were all friendly and very helpful, from the front desk to the porters to the serving staff in the restaurant. Breakfast was really excellent. We ate dinner in the restaurant, and the food was very good. And we also enjoyed refreshments in the cafè.

Cons: We travelled as 2 couples and our respective rooms were both too hot, so that we had to leave the balcony doors open. While the beds were comfortable, the pillows were too flat.

Pros: Excellent location, top accommodation, polite personnel, nice and cosy room. Recommended

Cons: I couldn't find a heavy power line for charging my laptop and no lan connection. WiFi was fair enough. Not a big deal though.

Pros: Great location. Great service in the reception. Nice and quiet rooms with AC. Breakfast was super. Parking was easy, even if we had to walk from the garage to the hotel.

Cons: Only one elderly employee at the bar/restaurant didn't care about us as guests. Maybe he just had a bad day. His colleague, a younger guy, made up for it (twice), though.

Lovely friendly hotel with views of the river

Pros: This is a lovely hotel in a great location, right on the promenade. The check in staff were friendly and very helpful. We were given a bus pass for free bus travel during our stay. We were also offered discount at the spa over the river and a free towel to use there. Our room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable. The shower was really good. The bathroom was large and very clean. Our room had a balcony with a view over the river. That was worth the little bit extra we paid per night. We were able to have the window open during the night, the promenade was really quiet. Breakfast was very good with a good choice of food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Cons: There was nothing we disliked

Pros: Great welcome do to Andrea the receptionist. He helped us with luggage and advice visiting Merano. Restaurant, sightseeing and even for the wellness accomodation he provided slippers, towels and robes. He is the best !

Pros: The staff were very welcoming. The location was very good in the centre if the town. Also it would work as a great base for touring the Alps. I would certainly go there again.
